History & Heritage of Chadwick Nursery

Greg and Karen Chadwick began in the nursery business in 1983 with these philosophies:  “We are dedicated to providing the highest quality and best selection of hardy plants at a reasonable cost.”  “We strive to exceed our customers’ expectations.” Chadwick Nursery has grown since then and has some of the largest selections of hardy fruit, shade, and flowering tree varieties in Montana!  We offer a complete and unique array of flowering shrubs, annuals, perennials, veggies, herbs, conifers, planters, and hanging baskets.  Chadwick Nursery has tested and proven many varieties of hardy ever-blooming roses that will amaze you at the way they will grow in Montana!  Our fruit tree testing has led to the discovery of the Chadwick pear and many more Helena plants brought into nursery production.  We are a leader in the promotion of new plant materials and provide these plants for all of Montana. 

We have also been involved in community projects such as plantings at schools, the State Capitol grounds, parks and the Lewis and Clark County Fairgrounds. Chadwick Nursery has enjoyed assisting and participating in projects such as the Florence Crittenton Home, Shodair and St Peter’s Hospital, the Cardboard Regatta, the Vigilantee Parade, and the Last Chance Stampede Parade and Fair.  We have had booths at the Helena Home and Garden Show. At Chadwick Nursery, we love our plants, and we love our work. Our goal is to help you grow and maintain a beautiful landscape in your yard and beautify the Helena and surrounding area.
